MR. PAUL KABIR
ASSISTANT HEADMASTER || ACADEMICS

Mr. Paul Kabir is a graduate professional teacher with B Ed Agriculture. An ambitious, confident person with the passion for assisting the headmaster with his rich experience in administration and management.

Seventeen years of Assistant headmastership has build and offered him the capacity to respond positively to the changing educational environment and also being an exemplary practitioner who is committed to playing a key role in leadership and management of the school.

MR. ELIJAH ASSABIL
DIRECTOR OF STUDIES

Mr. Elijah Assabil is a graduate professional teacher with B Ed Agriculture. He also has a Masters in Crop Science from the University of Education, Winneba – Mampong Campus. 

He works directly under the Assistant headmaster academics as the Director of Studies for the school, a task he has handled diligently for quite a number of years now.

MR. DANIEL FUACHIE
HOD || LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT

Mr. Daniel Fuachie, the head of the Languages department of Wiawso Sectech holds a BA English Language qualification and a Diploma in Basic Education from University of Education, Winneba and Wiawso College of Education respectively. He has a thirteen (13) years experience in the teaching of the English Language. He doubles as the Dean of Discipline of the school, ensuring laid down disciplinary measures are adhered to by both staff and students.

The department, out of the initiative of the HoD, has been able to come up with clubs and societies to build students’ basic language skills thus, Drama society, cultural Troupe, Debating club, French club and Writers club.

HOD || GEN. ARTS DEPARTMENT

Mr. Victor Bruce, popularly known as King Bruce or Scottish man had his teacher education at Wiawso College of Education at Sefwi Wiawso in 2002. After completion, he taught for a while and furthered his education at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) where he obtained his degree in BA Arts (African Studies).

In 2013, he was posted to Sefwi Wiawso Senior High Technical School to teach History. He has an approachable character and always loves to see his students excel.

MR. VICTOR BRUCE
MR. PHILIP BANDZIE
HOD || AGRIC DEPARTMENT

Mr. Philip Bandzie had his teacher education at Wiawso College of Education (2001 – 2004). Upon completion, he taught for some years and then furthered his education at the University of Development Studies where he obtained Bsc. Agricultural Technology (2009 – 2013). 

He was posted to his current school in the year 2013 to teach General Agriculture Science. He has been in the department for ten (10) years now, and currently the head of the Agricultural department.

HOD || VOCATIONAL DEPARTMENT

The Vocational department in Sefwi Wiawso SHTS comprises of two programmes of study. These are the Home Economics and the Visual Arts.

Mad. Esther Appiah, the HoD of the Vocational department is a well experienced teacher who handles Home Economics subjects with ease With her B.Ed Home Economics qualification.

Her goal as a departmental head is to unite and encourage teachers in the department to equip students with the necessary skills to enable them fit into the world of work, a task she lives up to expectation.

MAD. ESTHER APPIAH
MR. MATHIAS IBRAHIM
HOD || TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT

Mr. Mathias Ibrahim holds a B.Ed Technology Education from the University of Education Winneba. He taught as college teacher before entering into the University and has rich level of experience in the teaching of technical courses.

Mr. Mathias is currently the HoD of the Technical department of the school, which is the department in the school with large number of enrolment. He has a twenty -four (24) years experience in teaching and exhibits a greater level of mastery and expertise in the field of Wood Work and its related fields.

HOD || MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT

The department is headed by Mr. Ebenezer Agbo, a mathematician with Mphil in Mathematics Education. He has been with the department mathematics in the school since 2013 and is a lecturer in the University of Education, Winneba – College of Distance and e-learning; Sefwi Wiawso Learning Center since 2015.

He currently teaches both Core and Elective Mathematics in the school and believes his role as an HoD is to prepare students for further studies.

Mr. Ebenezer Agbo
Mr. George Agbalenyo Morrison
HOD || GENERAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

Mr. George Agbalenyo Morrison, the head of Science Department of Wiawso SHTS holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Earth Science from the University for Development Studies (UDS) – 2011 and a PGDE from Valley View University, 2018.

He has 13years teaching experience on his sleeves. He’s also the school’s staff welfare chairman and a former staff secretary (a position he held so diligently from 2016 – Jan. 2024).

Through his ingenuity and innovations, the department has clubs such as the Science and Maths Quiz as-well-as Energy Quiz clubs. The HoD has also partnered  TICSEP (The International Center for Sustainable Environment Promotion), a non-profit organization in promoting circular economy on campus. He is a go-getter and frowns on cutting corners.

HOD || BUSINESS DEPARTMENT

Mr. Godfred Hackman receives his Bachelor of Education degree in Social Sciences (Accounting & Economics) at the University of Cape Coast in 2008. He gained employment into the Ghana Education Service in 2010 where he was posted to Sefwi Wiawso SHTS as an Economics tutor. His teaching areas include Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Economics and Business Management.

He was appointed a form master from 2010 to 2014 and later appointed as a housemaster in the school from 2014 to 2021. By dint of hard work and determination, he was appointed the head of the business department when the programme was introduced in 2019.

He is currently on the rank of Assist. Director I, and have shown a good leadership quality in running the department. Currently students in his department are always confident of coming out with flying colours in their WASSCE exams due to his dedication, commitment and mastery of content knowledge in the field of business.
