Sefwi Wiawso Senior High Technical School was established on 28th January 1991 as part of the Educational Reforms of 1987. It is a Community School managed by the GES. The school started with Mr. John Ntaadu as its first Headmaster. 120 students, made up of 97 boys and 23 girls constituted its enrolment at start, with one permanent teacher who was the headmaster, and 5 National Service personnel.
The school is currently headed by Mr. Peter Obeng Nyamekye. Wiawso SECTECH is among the best schools in the Western North Region.
